Potato pics sucks

It’ AMAZING in person, wow. A bit smaller than I thought. I’m in love?

No sadness for me! I can’t remember when was the last time I saw a RWD Mercedes or BMW sedan, so can’t blame Kia for the decision.

We want the 2.0t though...

Funny enough my RWD manual 328i came FROM Quebec...

Somehow all of the manual cars I saw while looking were. You would think that was the land of auto and AWD.

I hope it stacks up well against the BMW. I would love to go with a nice Pre-owned stinger GT in three years time. I imagine an off lease model would be around $22-26k.

Blue is best color.

My family might change cars soon, and they are between these two:

it’s true that we love our small and manual cars. If you dig in the classified, you can find manual Hyundai Tucsons and Kia Sportages and Sorentos

Here’s a quick grab I just took on a used car site. For cars (not SUV/CUV), 38% are manual, not bad!

Kinja'd!!!

Where are you, Ontario?

I hope so, because I would never pay 50k for any car. I hope the values tank, but we could be surprised with all the hype surrounding this car and everyone is waiting for them to be on the used market.

I had a chance to go to the launch event for my local dealer but some family stuff came up (damn family).

Hope to make it over soon

I like it, hope to see one in the metal soon. What I do not like is the price they go for in the Netherlands: €59k for the diesel, €67k for the 2.0t, and €100k for the 3.3 which only comes as AWD in the Netherlands. (The RWD one would be cheaper, as its lower weight and such would lead to a lower CO2 emission, and thus less CO2 based tax in the purchase price). That brings it very close to M3 money (starting at €111k)

Sometimes I’m jealous of the cars you get, but I’m really not jealous of your taxes

Yeah, taxes ruin some cars. A V8 Mustang for instance is almost twice (roughly) the price in the Netherlands, compared to Germany, where it already is more expensive than in North America.

I would buy a new base model or premium 2.0 but I don’t have that kind of money. If I did have that money, I would probably spend it on a really nice, used 334/340i.

The stinger is perfect for me:

Hatched back to handle any pets- check

Good space for my 6’5” frame and any potential offspring I may produce- check

Looks good - check

RWD for Deals Gap usage- check

Parts and labor cheaper than BMW - check

I’m all about it. I’ve never been this interested in a new car in a long time. This is the first time I’ve really looked at one as a potential purchase.

I think the sweet spot we be a 2 years used Stinger, with a small price and a big warranty left

Yup. Right in the middle of lease-special 320i xDrive/C300 4MATIC central.

Saabs are special I find... off to a different group.

My former boss is a Saab nut and he had a 9-3 with a manual.

Move to America, if you can.

You’ll only need health insurance if you crash one of your cars, that you bought from 100k euros - roughly $120k.

You can literally buy a new Stinger, an E39 M3, a Jaguar XJS and a Toyota 4Runner for $120k.

That is a Korean sedan, a German sports coupe/convertible, a British grand touring coupe/convertible and a Japanese SUV. All the foods in the food pyramid.

But I love Europe! Though I also like Canada, as I’ve found out by living here for the past 3 months.

And also, I can’t have Renaults in America, so that is a big point against moving there.

I h ope you will like it too! Where are you moving to?

Thanks!

I think the GTA. I’m not sure yet. Can you recommend any places affordable suburbs to live that are close to industrial hubs but not really remote?

Personally I’m not too knowledgable about suburbs. There are however plenty GTA area Oppos, so you could just make a post asking them about information (that is how I found what area to live in)
